Using the Web Phone

Built-In Web Phone

LeanPBX includes a browser-based phone that lets you make and receive calls without any hardware or software. Just open your dashboard and click the phone icon to get started.

Getting Started

1

Open the Web Phone

Click the phone icon at the bottom of your screen. Your browser may ask for microphone permission — allow it to enable calling.

2

Wait for Registration

The status indicator turns green when your phone is registered and ready. Red means disconnected, amber means connecting.

3

Make a Call

Type a number on the keypad or click a recent call or team member, then press the green Call button.

Phone Tabs

When you are not on a call, the web phone has three tabs:

📞 Keypad

Dial pad to type phone numbers. Supports 0-9, *, #, and + (long-press 0).

📋 Recent

Last 20 calls with contact names from your CRM, direction, outcome, and duration. Click to redial.

👥 Extensions

Team members with live status. Green = available, gray = unavailable, red = in-call, amber = ringing.

During a Call

🔇 Mute

Mute your microphone. The other party cannot hear you, but you can still hear them.

⏸ Hold

Place the call on hold. The caller hears your music on hold until you resume.

🔢 Keypad

Send DTMF tones during a call — useful for navigating phone menus or entering PINs.

↪ Transfer

Transfer the call to another number. Choose blind (instant) or attended (speak to the other party first).
