Managing Music on Hold

Music on Hold

Music on Hold is what callers hear when they are placed on hold, waiting in a queue, or being transferred. You can create multiple music classes for different purposes — one for your support queue, another for your sales team.

How to Create a Music on Hold Class

1

Open the Form

Navigate to Features > Music on Hold, then click New Music on Hold.

2

Enter a Description and Play Order

Describe the class (e.g., "Jazz music for business hours") and choose how files play: Alphabetical, Random (default), or Random Start.

3

Upload Audio Files

After creating the class, go to the Files tab and upload your audio tracks.

Supported Audio Formats

WAV
MP3
OGG

Max 5 MB per file
💡

Automatic Conversion

All uploaded files are automatically converted to PBX-compatible format (8000 Hz, mono, 16-bit WAV). You do not need to pre-process your audio files.
