Announcements
Announcements play a recorded message to callers before routing them to the next destination. Use them for after-hours messages, holiday greetings, terms and conditions, or marketing messages.
How Announcements Work
An announcement has two components:
🎤 Recording
The audio message that plays to the caller.
➡ Destination
Where the call goes after the message finishes.
Creating an Announcement
Upload a Recording First
Go to PBX > Recordings and upload or record the audio message you want callers to hear. Choose the Announcement category.
Create the Announcement
Use the Call Routing Setup wizard and select "Play an announcement", or navigate directly to the announcements resource. Select your recording and choose the destination.
Assign as a Destination
Use the announcement as a destination for phone numbers, IVR options, or time conditions.
Example Use Case
Customer calls your number
"Thank you for calling. We are currently closed. Please leave a message."
Call goes to voicemail
